Current Events: Winter Olympics

The torch has been set a blaze in the Winter Olympics. However, not for Shawn White. His impressive score of 95.46 on his very first run didn't even get him into the semifinal round for his main event, the half pipe. Americans were shocked that our two time gold medalist could even qualify on this event. This is beneficial to all other snowboarders on the other side. Sadly, not for us. #NoMedalForWhite

Also, in the Winter Olympics, Germany is leading the way with 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. The U.S.A is coming in at 6th place with 4 golds, 2 silvers, and 6 bronzes. Hopefully with the events still to come in the Olympics, the U.S.A can pull ahead and beat Germany just like we did in WWII.
